The Journey That Led Me Here

True story: I chose to study home science simply because I didn’t enjoy maths in school! Little did I know that decision would lead me to a profession where I could truly influence people’s lives.

Once I enrolled, something clicked. I fell in love with the fascinating relationship between food and health. Over time, my curiosity turned into expertise—I saw how food could prevent issues like weight gain, gut problems, and pregnancy complications, and also support people living with conditions such as diabetes, kidney disease, and liver disorders. That’s when I realised: food isn’t just fuel—it’s medicine. And I wanted to help people use that medicine to feel healthier and stronger.

Over the last 20 years, I’ve worked with large multinational healthcare organisations and successful digital health startups to design and deliver solutions for managing chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, fertility challenges, and cancer. These experiences have given me a unique perspective—how science, empathy, and technology can come together to improve real lives.

What Shaped My Philosophy

My journey through a Master’s in Food Science and Nutrition, a Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics, and my work as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator taught me an important truth: most people don’t struggle because they lack willpower. They struggle because they’re given plans that don’t fit their lives, their culture, or their reality.

Real change happens when we meet people where they are. That’s why I believe lasting health isn’t about strict rules—it’s about blending science with compassion. My Healthcare Management MBA from IIM Lucknow strengthened my knowledge of systems and strategy, but more importantly, it reminded me that empathy—not perfection—is what creates sustainable change.
